TotalRecalls is a small Windows app that downloads your AI conversations from eight providers — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, and Qwen Chat — into plain Markdown + JSON files on your own computer.

Every provider tells you that you own your conversations. When you try to actually take them with you, most make you wait days for an download request — or hand back only a fraction of what you wrote. TotalRecalls is the difference between being told you own your chats and actually owning them.

Why we built it

Your conversations are years of thinking: decisions, drafts, research, and ideas you'll want again. They live inside other companies' accounts, locked behind their interfaces. We built TotalRecalls so the archive lands where it belongs — in a folder on your PC, in a format you can grep, version, back up, and keep forever.

What we believe

  • Your chats are yours. Not ours, and not on a rental plan.
  • Local first. Downloads are written straight to disk. No cloud, no account with us.
  • No telemetry. The app never phones home. Your session tokens stay on your machine.
  • One price, no subscription. $24USD, one time. No monthly "AI archive" fee.

Your data stays yours

TotalRecalls runs locally on Windows. It never connects to a TotalRecalls server, never hosts your chats, and never collects your credentials. You can verify this yourself by watching its network traffic. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.

The current release is v1.0.0 (September 12, 2026) — Launch release — all eight providers. TotalRecalls is a new product and ships updates regularly, so this page updates automatically as new versions land.
